Loraine qualified as a physiotherapist in 1995 and became interested in pilates whilst doing a post graduate muscle balance course. She discovered that pilates is a fantastic way to work with the body to improve muscle control, flexibility and posture. This led to Loraine studying with STOTT PILATES® and she qualified to teach matwork in 1999. She has since been continuing her professional development by training in the use of the major studio equipment and achieved her full certification status in September 2010.
Loraine is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and has a Master of Science degree in Applied Human Science.
Loraine worked for the NHS as an outpatient physiotherapist for 16 years. She now combines physiotherapy and pilates on a private basis. She offers matwork and studio sessions in the Gerrards Cross and Chalfont St Peter. For the latest information on class times and prices click here.
“I enjoy working with rehabilitation clients and athletes, and everyone in between! Exercises can be modified with or without equipment to facilitate the body to achieve the essence of each exercise. Likewise I like to challenge the fitter stronger bodies to ensure they get the best workout while maintaining stability as a base for their athletic conditioning.”
